While browsing honours panels you may notice that some include both Monochrome and Colour images which according to the latest Honours manual is not permitted. The ruling is correct and is a new one only brought in during 2012 which means that any panels already in the system did not have to abide by the new rules. The new rules were brought in because we added Monochrome as an additional medium in which Honours could be applied for.

In the interest of consistency and fairness to both applicants and PSSA the process of assessing Honours panels will be run
under a pilot scheme for the next two years whereby a single panel of twelve judges will meet to judge all the print, slide & digital applications for LPSSA, APSSA & FPSSA.
In addition, as from April this year, these judges will head teams, which will be available to offer advice to prospective applicants and feedback to unsuccessful applicants.
The judges, all of whom are active photographers, have been selected for their overall knowledge and experience and for their ability to assess, regardless of their own personal taste.
Selecting the judges photograph will take you to their CV and a sample of their current (within approx the last 3 years) work.
